"After I am no more, O Ananda, men of
belief will visit the four places with faith, curiosity and
devotion:
-
Lumbini where I was born, - Bodh Gaya where I attained Enlightenment - Saranath where I gave the first Sermons
- Kushinagar where I shall pass into Maha Pari Nirvana."

So said
Lord Buddha
to his favorite disciple "Ananda" before he attained Maha
Pari Nirvana at Kushinagar.
So, we are dedicating this site to the wishes of
Lord
Buddha himself by commencing all Buddhist Circuits
Pilgrimage Journeys from his Holy Motherland
Lumbini
where Lord
Buddha was born.
Buddhist Circuits.com
follows the Footsteps of Lord Buddha in its Original
Form under Buddhist Religious Norms.
Inspired and motivated by the deliberation made by
Country Representatives at The Bay of Bengal
Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic
Cooperation (BIMST-EC) Round Table and Workshop of
Tourism Ministers concluded on February 23, 2005,
followed by SASEC Working Group Meeting,
Buddhist Circuits .com is being launched
incorporating the ideas and thoughts shared by the
delegates from India. Bhutan , Bangladesh , India ,
Myanmar , Nepal , Sri Lanka and Thailand .
It was proposed in the Plan of Action to
encourage private stakeholders to devise attractive
and cost-effective thematic Buddhist tour
packages connecting different
Buddhist tourist destinations among the
participating countries. Buddhist Circuits
.com is the outcome of BIMST-EC and SASEC
workshop and meeting which have shouldered the
responsibility on private sector to develop tourism
packages connecting the Seven BIMST-EC Nations.
Buddhist Circuits.com envisages
promoting Buddhist tourism in the
region keeping in mind that although the physical
presence of
Lord Buddha - the
apostle of Peace and Love was only limited to Nepal
and India , ...
... Buddhism becomes a part of life in Sri Lanka and the countries of South East Asia, in the Himalayan countries of Bhutan, Nepal and Tibet, even far-flung Central Asia, China and Japan, and over the years Buddhism has flourished under the umbrella of royal patronage and the dedication of Buddhism's vast community of monks, teachers and artists.
